Dublin, June 6, 2018. “SunExpress Entertainment” with Immfly Digital Services: The airline, a joint venture of Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, introduces its partnership with Immfly for its new inflight entertainment system.“SunExpress Entertainment” will be rolled out across the fleet of Boeing 737-800NG and MAX and will be personalized for every passenger with an on-demand function via everyone’s individual mobile device. Since Immfly is leading the development of inflight digital platforms in Europe as a tool for boosting airline revenues by analyzing customer loyalty and by adding revenue streams with digital inflight sponsorship services, the platform “SunExpress Entertainment” was designed with clear marketing and revenue optimization objectives.
A unique personalization of content in terms of route, time, airline and language
Immfly can customize its digital services to meet the best conditions and offer the best passenger experience. A broad range of entertainment modules such as TV-shows, movies, music, games, press and magazines as well as kids’ content, will be available on board of the SunExpress aircrafts. To access them, passengers have to use their own personal electronic devices (mobile phone, tablet, laptop), enter the Immfly WIFI network on board and enjoy the wide variety of content.
International and local content
As Immfly’s digital platform will be present in two distinct markets – each one of them very rich in CSPs – it will count on international providers such as 20th Century FOX as well as local content – from Turkey and from Germany respectively.
“In addition to only offering entertainment and flight information, Immfly works closely with SunExpress to perfectly fit their digitalization strategy and enable SunExpress passengers to enjoy a digital seamless travel journey including the onboard experience,” explains Vincent Tomasoni, Chief Customer and Content Officer at Immfly.
Plan your trip while flying
“Your Destination” is fully dedicated to provide guidance and valuable tips for passengers about places to go, discover the most secret spots of the city and the various activities to do right after landing. The section offers information regarding transfer services, tours, where and what to buy, and all of this information in a guide format that covers the airline’s routes, available in several languages.
“SunExpress Entertainment” also provides practical information about the flight and an interactive 3D map of the route in the “Flight Info” section, that shows a real-time flight tracker to checkpoints of interest, the airline´s destination, the actual time at the destination, outside temperature, the aircraft’s altitude and speed as well as the arrival time. Provided by “The Weather Network” passengers will always be informed about local weather conditions and forecasts at their final destination.
Additionally, SunExpress’ catering and duty-free menus SunCafe and SunShop will be available on the “SunExpress Entertainment” digital platform. SunExpress plans to even enhance this new channel by allowing the passenger to select and pay goods from the platform in a “self-service” way, and also, choose to receive the order at the seat or at the galley.
“We are happy to work together with Immfly on our inflight entertainment system in the future”, says Peter Glade, Commercial Director of SunExpress. “Our guests’ experience is of paramount meaning to us, which is why we need a strong partner as Immfly by our side in order to offer a diverse entertainment program in line with additional services.”
A scalable service in the air
Immfly’s digital services platform is highly reliable, flexible and scalable into new features that can be upgraded at any time, depending exclusively on the airline’s criteria and need. It is Immfly’s intention to continuously add new digital services, and in this way, Immfly and SunExpress are boosting the passenger experience and enhancing SunExpress’ value and position in the aviation industry.
