Madrid, November 2015 — Nowadays it’s wise to check your budget before taking any decision. Or you might be disappointed. There are many types of pockets. Some are large, some small, narrow, wide, beautiful or outdated. We wanted to adjust to all budgets possible, for everyone to have a cozy place to sleep. We searched, evaluated (always taking into account the reputation and the users’ opinions) and finally we selected 3 hotels that meet 3 unequal budgets. These are our picks:

For deep pockets (more than 100 € per room):
URSO Hotel – Mejia Lequerica 8, Chamberí
Budget: around 200 € per room. You can book here.
Reputation: Has excellent reviews on all hotel booking channels.

Editor’s note: a palace of the early 20th century turned into the first 5 * boutique hotel. Very few negative comments. Fantastic spa – Natura Bissé – and a very good restaurant, The Table by, a pop up restaurant that invites chefs from different parts of Spain for a limited period of time.

For half-full pockets (between 50 € and 100 € per room):
Hotel Mayerling – Conde de Romanones, 6 street
Budget: 55 € to 75 € easily. You can book here.
Reputation: Excellence Certificate on Tripadvisor.
Editor’s note: a chic & basic hotel, next to the Plaza Mayor. It has only 1 star but an award for excellence on Tripadvisor and many travelers praise the spacious rooms and basic breakfast.

For half-empty pockets (less than 50 € per room):
Hostal Santillan – Gran Via 64, phone: 915 48 23 28
Budget: 20 € to 48 €. You can book here.
Reputation: 9 out of 10 rating based on 516 opinions on their own web.
